We had a wonderful start to our day with Mass.  It is such a beautiful beginning to the day to be able to celebrate Mass.  Father talked about reconciliation today and we prayed the Confiteor Prayer.

I am ready for the sun to shine, the kids need to get outside and play!:).  

Today in class we did the following:

Science:  We began our unit on Energy.  I collected the pretests they did on Edmodo and am anxious to see what they already know!  Our focus was: I can name the forms of Energy and give an everyday example of each.

Homework: Test Friday

We learned what the forms were, that there were 2 categories of Energy.  We calculated how much energy the US uses from renewable sources and how much we use from non-renewable sources.  Then they analyzed what that means for the US and we discussed problems that the US is facing.

Social Studies: We began our next Chapter by discussing changes in studying and preparing for 6th grade.  We looked at guided notes that I handed out.  These will be used to aid them in note taking and in identifying important facts and details.  We discussed the importance of note taking and in keeping up with the guided notes provided.

Homework: Test tomorrow

Chapter 4 vocab. due Monday

Religion:  We continued learning about the Liturgical Calendar and discussed the next day on the advent calendar.

Math: test Monday, workbook p.38 12 problems only, 

Language Arts: 

We are trying for 100% turn in of reading logs tomorrow!  PLEASE HELP YOUR CHILD REMEMBER - THERE IS A REWARD FOR REACHING THIS GOAL!:)
