We began our day celebrating together in Mass this morning. I love beginning our day this way, it settles the students and centers them on why they are here at SMA.
Today we discussed Mass expectations, how we pray, receive communion, and participation. We put together our Science notebooks and we worked on our class quilt and All About Me posters. We began our first read aloud novel and we learned about God Winks (actually did that yesterday, but forgot to put it on the blog!)

Homework
Science and Religion notebooks should be decorated and covered with clear packaging tape or book cover tape. Due Monday

Thursday, August 27: Back to School Night 6:30-8:00
Thursday, September 10: Grandparents Day
Monday, September 14: Safe Environment Training: Very important to have if you are interested in helping in the classroom or in attending a field trip(especially the overnight at Camp Shantituck)
The Monarch Mile has been rescheduled to happen in the spring, I will post that date later this year:).
