Hello 5th grade parents!
Sorry this did not go out yesterday, our internet here at school went down!:)
I am touching base with you regarding our class news.
Please remember to mark your calendars for our First Coffee House Friday. It will be on Friday September 26,2014. I look forward to seeing you and your children are very excited!
In Social Studies we are continuing to work on Early Civilizations. You should expect a summative assessment over this material around September 10th.
Religion we are continuing to study the Bible. The students have been learning about the Old and New Testament, books of the Bible, and the Lands of the Bible. There will be a summative grade given for having their notebook table of contents filled in, having complete notes, colored illustrations, page numbers and titles on each page as well as a date on each page. Neatness will also count in the grading of the notebook.
Science is a study of the Earth. We are learning what the layers of Earth are. Please be aware that building a model of Earth is an assignment that will be coming home in the next few days.
Parents, please continue to check our class calendar to see when tests and assignments are. I will continue to post homework on here and on the calendar.
